Using TechSmith Camtasia with ScreenPressor codec

Camtasia is a screen recording program which can record your onscreen activities for later playback. It is also an excellent tool for making screencasts. Camtasia provides its own codec to compress videos.

By default Camtasia is set to save files to their special file format instead of the .avi video file format which provides better playback compatibility. Using the .avi format also enables you to use Camtasia together with ScreenPressor video codec. On a typical screen captured video ScreenPressor provides better compression than original TechSmith codec making the files size smaller so they can be downloaded faster.
